Sexuality Superheroes: Jet Setting Jasmine
It’s that time of week again! This week, our Sexuality Superhero is: Jet Setting Jasmine. Jasmine is a licensed clinical therapist and does amazing work as a fetish trainer. How did you find yourself working in sexuality?
I am a licensed therapist and have always had an interest in how people-maintained intimacy and the importance of intimacy in the wake of challenging life experiences. I dedicated a great deal of my work to working with client’s with trauma experiences and intimacy post injury/illness and intimacy and caregiving. The other bulk of my sex work has centered around my own sexual exploration. I have taken my personal experiences and shared them openly for others to learn and see a woman with my background enjoying sexual freedoms; with hopes that they will too.
What is the best part of the job?
The best part is seeing my clients have breakthroughs! It is such an honor to be a part of people’s lives and when we can meet a goal that is going to change their quality of life, I feel incredibly proud and purposeful.
I have another favorite part of the job and that is working with my partner, King Noire. It is a great feeling to be able to share my passion with the one I am most passionate about and with!
What is the most challenging part of the job?
The most challenging part of my work is navigating the biases and barriers that are in place for sex educators, entertainers and sex workers. These obstacles of racism, sexism, ageism, classism, ism-ism, censorship and ignorance can make reaching potential clientele incredibly difficult.
What is your most important piece of advice that has the potential to revolutionize relationships?
Take some time to trade kinks with your partner. You will be amazed to find out what you both want to introduce to your love life. Try sending sexy images, videos and or articles on things that are “different” and you would like to explore together. I’ve seen it revolutionize relationships through the use of non-judgmental communication, creativity and technology!
What do you do to decompress and take care of yourself given that you spend so much time helping and caring for others?
I sit on the couch with my partner and our kids. We pick movies, shows or even music genres and binge as a family! Spending time with my family is my favorite thing to do because we spend a great deal of time on touring and working hard for our family; so, it is only right that in my down time I enjoy the fruit of our labor with our top motivators!
Recently, as a mother of an infant, I take a long shower whenever I can. That is my “immediate reward” self-care and of course ordering myself small gifts from Amazon when I meet a business goal!
What do you want people to know about your work as a fetish trainer?
A Fetish Trainer is a professional who encourages and assists with the exploration of sexual desire which gratification is linked to a particular object and sexual fantasy/act that is with no intentions of sexual reproduction, commonly defined as a fetish! Our company also focus on assisting clients with pushing past sexual hang-ups and healing sexual traumas.
